Flix at the NCAC – A Summer of Musicals
“Gold Diggers of 1935”
Directed by Busby Berkeley. Starring: Dick Powell, Adolphe Menjou, Gloria Stuart, Alice Brady.
This film dates from the period when movie musicals “grew up” and became more than snippets of vaudeville. This one is a big-scale musical with stereotypes providing plot line and laughs between fantastic precision production numbers, including “The Words Are In My Heart” and classic Oscar-winning “Lullaby of Broadway” sung by Wini Shaw. Donations appreciated to cover expenses.
*** (G) B&W, 95 minutes, (1935)
Movies will be shown on the big screen in the air conditioned NCAC at 7:00 pm on the second and fourth Thursdays during May, June, August and September.

Please consider working alone or gathering up a group of friends and enjoying the spring weather while you work.
Call the school office (386-5153) a few days ahead of your anticipated work date so barrels will be available for the yard waste. And thank you!
